Resources and Guides for Veterans

Returning from the War Zone: A Guide for Military Personnel: A guide in PDF format created by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

National Resource Directory: Comprehensive resource directory outlining existing resources for education programs and benefits, scholarships and alternative funding, college and career counseling sources, internship, licensure and certification opportunities, and available assistive technology.

Student Veterans of America: An organization with a goal to provide military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education and following graduation. The organization helps with establishing Student Veterans groups.

Assistance for Severely Injured Veterans: The American Council on Education has put together Severely Injured Military Veterans: Fulfilling Their Dreams to provide direct support to these veterans and their families by helping them align their career goals with educational opportunity.

Paying for College: A list put together showing resources that exist to help veterans fund higher education.  Focus is on the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
